There was no public comment.

Chairperson Kelly called the meeting to order.

Motion:  To approve the October 2, 2008 meeting minutes. Crandall-Taylor (6-0)

Motion:  To approve the Treasurer’s Report. Hall-Pelton (6-0)

Mike Harvey, Director of the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development and Nora Gillespie, Director of the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center, made presentations.

Steve Crandall reported that the second phase of the JAUNT transportation project is underway. A meeting with WPI and WPOA is set for November 7, 2008.

The final report to the board of supervisors on the broadband planning will be complete in January 2009.

Greg Kelly and Bennett Saunders will meet with the local food project representatives

Motion: Resolution of the Economic Development Authority of Nelson County, Virginia authorizing the modification of its $6,930,000 revenue bond (Scottsville Road Holdings, LLC project), series 2006 and documents related thereto. Natt Hall made the motion. Alphonso Taylor seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously (6-0). Roll call vote:  Emily Pelton, aye; Erwin Berry, aye; Alphonso Taylor, aye; Steve Crandall, aye; Natt Hall, aye; Greg Kelly, aye.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
