There was no public comment.

Pat Gooch from the Rockfish Valley Community Winter Market requested $1000 to help advertise the indoor market, held on the first Saturday in November, December, February, March and April.

Buck Whitehurst from the Schuyler Farmers Market requested $500 to assist with the market, which is held on Saturdays from 9 – 12 noon from June through October.

MOTION:  To allocate $500 to each of the Rockfish Valley Community Winter Market and the Schuyler Farmers Market, contingent on the receipt of a final report outlining the uses and benefits of the funds. Kelly-Pelton (4-0)

MOTION:  To approve the April 2010 meeting minutes as written. Kelly-Taylor (4-0)

Planning for the Business Education and Appreciation event is still underway.

MOTION: To allocated an additional $4000 to support the educational component for the event.

Staff was asked to study the cost of a minimum landscaping plan for the two welcome signs on Route 29.
