The Nelson County Wednesday Farmers Market is held every Wednesday from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Nelson Center, 8521 Thomas Nelson Highway in Lovingston. Nelson Downriver Canoe and Kayak Race is suitable for experienced paddlers. Our goal is to promote recreation, conservation and sportsmanship through paddling rivers and lakes in and around Nelson County. The race is 8 miles of class I – II+ whitewater and typically takes from 80 to 100 minutes to complete. The race is followed by a social/picnic/awards ceremony. 434-277-8023
