Oakland Museum- 1:30 PM program features Cartographers Allen Hale,
Scott Smith, and Mike Crabill  will address colonial surveying, 18th
Century cartography, and the map of early Nelson County land grants.
On display will be a large map of Nelson County on which visitors are
invited to identifiy locations of “forgotten communities” or inquire as
to locations of landmarks known previously by names no longer in use.
Visitors are invited to bring their own maps and surveys to display and
discuss.
