• Submitted What’s New projects and calendar of events to Virginia Tourism Corporation for 2012 travel guide and media plan
• Completed Dept. of Housing and Community Development Local Innovation Grant ($200,000) for local match for federal grant
• Selected to chair focus group for Lt. Gov. Bolling’s Jobs Creation task force
• Hosted travel writer from Richmond Times Dispatch
• Working with Virginia Employment Commission on workforce development strategies
• Nelson County is a mandatory stop for the Virginia Tourism 2010 Motorcycle Grand tour
• Working with Lynchburg Small Business Development Center on a Rural Development loan program
• Working with a new event, The Festy, October 9-10
• Assisting with the green infrastructure inventory program
• Management Team liaison for Dept. of Housing and Community Development planning grant project for artisan trail network
• Assisting with the new Virginia Craft Brewers Guild
