Street Light Tax:  Billed annually each July, on each parcel of real property. Rates by service district are listed below:

Arrington Service District: $34.50 per year

Lovingston Service District:  $43.00 per year 

Shipman Service District:  $49.25 per year

Piney River Sewer:  Billed monthly, on the last day of the month. Please remit payment to the Treasurer of Nelson County.   Contact Finance and Human Resources for billing questions.

Solid Waste Tipping Fees: Transfer Station charges billed monthly on the 15th. Please remit payment to the Finance and Human Resources Department.  

Current Rates are as follows:

Solid Waste – $55.00/ton

Batteries – included in above fee at no extra charge

Tires -

     Smaller than 22 inch diameter – $3.00/tire or tire casing

     22 inches and larger – $8.00/tire or tire casing
  
  
• 
  
     Tractor tires or tire casings – $12.00/tire
  
  
• 
  
     Skidder tires or tire casings – $20.00/tire
  
  
• 
  
     Tires delivered on rims – double the corresponding fee for each tire on rim
  
  
• 
  
     Single delivery of tires exceeding 10 in number at bulk tire rate-80.00/ton plus a $22.00 surcharge
