A. Class III Public Safety Communication Tower Application #2010-001 and Special
Exception – Nelson County Courthouse
Consideration of an application for a Class III Communication Tower Permit, pursuant to Section 6,
Article 6-1-16 and Article 20, Section 20-8 of the Nelson County Zoning Ordinance to construct a 120
foot monopole communication tower to be located on a portion of the Nelson County Courthouse
property identified as Tax Map #58B-3-12. Property is zoned R-2. Special exception is being
requested pursuant to Article 20, Section 20-8-3 for the reduction of the 2- mile distance between the
proposed tower and other Class II and III communication towers.
B. Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment – Article 10. General Floodplain District FP
Consideration of a proposed amendment to Appendix A., Zoning, of the Nelson County Zoning
Ordinance, Article 10, to amend definitions to the following: Manufactured home park/subdivision,
New construction, Special flood hazard area, Structure, and to correct Section 10.14 B. to add the word
“homes” following the word manufactured.
C. Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment – Article 2. Definitions, Article 12
General Provisions, Article 13 Site Development Plan, and Article 16 Amendment
and Rezoning
Consideration of a proposed amendment to Appendix A., Zoning, Article 2, Definitions, to add the
definition of Site Plan Review Committee, Article 12, General Provisions, Section 12-1, Zoning
Permits, Section 12-2, Certificate of Occupancy, Section 12-3, Special Use Permits, Article 13, Site
Development Plan, Sections 13-1 – 13-13-10, as it applies to Major and Minor Site Plans, Article 16,
Amendment and Rezoning.
D. Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment – Miscellaneous
Consideration of proposed “housekeeping” amendments to correct the Zoning Ordinance and the Code
of Nelson County.
