Nelson County Government

Nelson County citizens can save an average of 24% off the full retail cost of prescription medications that are not covered by traditional insurance plans, through the National Association of Counties (NACo) Prescription Discount Card Program.

•    IT IS EASY TO PARTICIPATE: There are no enrollment fees, forms to fill out, age or income requirements, or medical condition restrictions. One card covers the entire family for virtually all commonly prescribed medicine.

•    IT’S FREE!  There is no cost to the County, its residents or its taxpayers!

•    EVERYONE IS ELIGIBLE: All Nelson County citizens can participate by presenting the ID card at a national network of more than 60,000 *participating retail pharmacies including:

Rite Aid Pharmacy – Lovingston
Stoney Creek Pharmacy – Nellysford
Blue Ridge Medical Center Pharmacy – Arrington
CVS Pharmacy – Amherst

*100 locations are within 50 miles in Nelson, Amherst, Madison Heights,
Lynchburg, Appomattox, Waynesboro, Charlottesville, and Staunton
