Kid’s Workshop at Wintergreen Nature Foundation Trillium House at Wintergreen Resort.
December 26 Art of Owling Program.1PM to 2:30PM. Learn about the art of owling with the story Owl Moon, then go on a daytime discovery hike to gather natural materials for a cute craft! Appropriate for children ages 3 to 5.
December 27 Walk On the Wild Side. 1PM to 3PM. Come discover where animals go in the winter by looking for evidence left behind. Join Kathie Driscoll as we take a walk on the wild side. Wear warm clothes for outdoor exploration. After, we will make our own tracks! Appropriate for children ages 5 to 8.
December 28 Native American Dreamcatcher Workshop 1PM to 3PM. Join historian Rachel Deddens to create your own dreamcatcher of the Ojibwe people with a hoop symbolizing the circle of life and natural cycles of the night, day and the seasons. Weave your web into the circle which becomes a tapestry of life and decorative feathers to represent spiritual power. Appropriate for children ages 8 and up.
