Buck Creek Cabin is a charming dwelling, on 33 acres, privately nestled in Nelson County, VA. It has a small front porch with outdoor loveseat and table. On the spacious back deck, overlooking woodland views, one finds a table, four chairs and an umbrella. Just inside the front door is an efficiency kitchen, fully equipped with dishes, pans, toaster oven, microwave and refrigerator. There are spices, salt and pepper, vinegar and oil. Included is a Melitta Coffee carafe and filters, with regular and de-caf coffee beans. As well, you will find black tea, herb tea and honey. There is a sitting area with two chairs and table, in front of a large window, with a view of the back woods. There is a sleeping nook with double bed, looking through glass doors out onto the deck and woods. There is a comfortable bathroom with sink, large shower, commode and clothes closet. You will be very private here, situated at the end of a driveway which is separate from Buck Creek Lodge and Buck Creek Retreat Studio, which are both airbnb rentals on the same large property. They can also be rented together as a 3 bedroom house.

Wifi: It has been promised for fall 2019. However, if you have Verizon or Sprint you will currently get phone service and can use your phone’s ‘mobile hotspot’ for Internet connection. Other carriers may give sketchy service.
Dogs and Cats: With advance notice, small to medium dogs or cats may be acceptable after a pet fee charge of $35. Owners are responsible for their care, behavior, clean-up and excessive pet hair on floors and furniture
Guests are invited to walk on the property, follow nature paths, and view the gardens. Before the cabin driveway, there is Buck Creek Studio, a separate one-bedroom studio apartment, partially above Buck Creek Lodge, a two bedroom home downstairs. Both are also available on Airbnb.
This is a rural farming area. It is considered a courtesy not to walk or trespass on neighboring farms. A detailed Walking Map of Buck Creek’s 33 acres is included in the Handbook. For your safety use of the farm pond and dock is not permitted. There are two large snapping turtles residing there.
By law there is no hunting or discharging of firearms on this property.
