Buck Creek Lodge is a charming home located on 33 private acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Grounds include designer gardens, a mountain spring, areas accented with stone features, and many walking paths. Large porch with outdoor dinning area, sitting area and sloping lawn offering mountain views. Conveniently located 25 miles south of Charlottesville, 10 miles north of Lovingston, near the AT, Blue Ridge Parkway, Wintergreen Resort, and many breweries & wineries.
Buck Creek Lodge has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds. Between is an adjoining bathroom with large tub and shower. The living area is a large open-plan space consisting of two comfortable sitting areas, a dining table and a fully stocked kitchen area. This kitchen offers a coffee maker with filters, and a coffee grinder. Regular and decaf coffee beans, as well black tea, herb tea and honey are also offered. In the cooking area one finds salt, pepper, spices, oil and vinegar. You will have all the pots, pans, glasses and dishes needed. The kitchen and dining area open onto a porch with a couch, a glider and some chairs for relaxing. Outside, near the sliding glass door off the kitchen area, there is a table and chairs for meals. From the porch one has views of the gardens and a vista of far-off Willoughby Mountain.
Wifi – It has been promised for fall 2019. However, if you have Verizon or Sprint you will currently get phone service and can use your phone’s ‘mobile hotspot’ for Internet connection. Other carriers may give sketchy service.
DOGS: With advance notice, small dogs may be acceptable after a onetime charge of $35. Owners are responsible for their care, behavior, clean-up and excessive pet hair on floors and furniture.

Guests are invited to walk on the property, follow nature paths, and view the gardens. Next to Buck Creek Lodge, up a wooden stairway, with its own separate entrance over a portion of Buck Creek Lodge, there is a separate efficiency apartment, Buck Creek Studio, as well as Buck Creek Cabin, tucked away in the woods, with its own driveway. Both also available on Airbnb.
This is a rural farming area. It is considered a courtesy not to walk or trespass on neighboring property. A detailed Walking Map of Buck Creek’s 33 acres is included in the Handbook. For your safety use of the farm pond and dock are not permitted. Two large snapping turtles reside there.
By law there is no hunting or discharging of firearms on this property.
