Conveniently located 25 miles south of Charlottesville, 10 miles north of Lovingston, near the AT, Blue Ridge Parkway, Wintergreen Resort, and many breweries & wineries. The rest of the home is also bookable on AirBnb.

The space

This is a large studio apartment with its own separate entrance. To reach this space, one goes up an outside wooden stairway, onto a covered porch with small couch, table and two chairs. Views of the woodland property, far off mountains and the designer gardens are enjoyed from this porch. Just inside is a fully stocked kitchen with breakfast table and two chairs. This corner kitchen offers a Melitta Coffee carafe with filters, and a coffee grinder. Regular and de-caf coffee beans, as well as black tea, herb tea, and honey are also offered. In the cooking area one finds salt, pepper, spices, oil and vinegar. Included are pots, pans, dishes and glasses. There is a two burner hotplate, a toaster oven and a microwave. Across from the kitchen is a sitting area with a couch, table and chair. Behind a free-standing bookcase, which gives privacy to the bed nook, is a double bed, bedside tables and reading lamps. Across from the sleeping area is a work desk and chair. Just beyond that are two closets with hangers. There is a small bathroom with sink, commode and shower. Buck Creek Studio is a charming hide-away, upstairs over the kitchen portion of Buck Creek Lodge. Guests are asked to remove their shoes to soften their footsteps for the guests downstairs. In any event, this is a rural area, so we always appreciate ‘shoes off’ as this helps keep Buck Creek Retreat Studio clean.

Wifi – It has been promised for fall 2019. However, if you have Verizon or Sprint you will currently get phone service and can use your phone’s ‘mobile hotspot’ for Internet connection. Other carriers may give sketchy service.

We are sorry but NO PETS PLEASE

Both also available on Airbnb. This is a rural farming area. It is considered a courtesy not to walk or trespass on neighboring farms. A Walking Map of the Buck Creek 33 acres is included in the Handbook. For your safety use of the farm pond and dock are not permitted. Two large snapping turtles reside there.
