Lodging Description

This one-story ranch house is 1.5 miles south of Nellysford on RT 151 was initially the home of the manager of Elk Hill Farm. Historically it was the property of the Reids, Colemans and Ewings. It has been farmed for over 250 years. The house, surrounded by pastures and fields dates to just after WWII and was remodeled in the 1990’s. Nicely furnished and up to date.

The house contains 4 bedrooms, two baths, a very usable living-dining-kitchen area. The porch has two rockers facing the Blue Ridge Mountains, looking directly at Wintergreen Resort on Black Rock Mountain and Devils Knob.

What Makes This Space Unique

The site is unique in that it is surrounded by several waterways and almost 360 degrees of Blue Ridge Mountains. The Rockfish Trails connect to it that lead to swimming holes. There are two donkeys in residence that are very friendly. The property is situated between Bold Rock Cider and Devil’s Backbone. One is walkable and the other is just over 1/2 mile away.
