Another sure sign of LOVE can be found at Cardinal Point Winery. Wine barrels are intricately redesigned via cutouts and splits to spell the “L” word, and there’s plenty of space for you to stand in front of it with your wildest friends and take a picture or ten. LOVE is literally in the air at Veritas Vineyard and Winery. Thousands upon thousands of corks take the shape of “LOVE” above the bar, and your photography skills will take shape while you taste delicious and refreshing Veritas wines.
There’s some cold love over at The Ski Barn in Wintergreen- where LOVE is spelled out colorfully in ski and snowboard equipment. Snow bunnies and boarders alike are sure to fill their Instagram feeds with this one! If you aren’t getting off Route 29, you’ll still have a chance at capturing a little LOVE in Nelson, so don’t worry. Virginia Distillery Company is safely tucked away from the roar of traffic on route 29, but their LOVEWork sign is easy to see. Their Distillery logo is featured in the work, while barrel staves and a barrel head finish up the four-letter word. Also along Route 29 is Wood Ridge Farm Brewery with their LOVEwork made from wood and vines from the farm, where all the building materials for the farm structures were sourced. It may be the largest LOVEWork in Virginia! In Schuyler, the one of the newest LOVEwork can be found between the Walton Hamner House and John and Olivia’s Bed and Breakfast. In Arrington, there is LOVE in the business park at Blue Mountain Barrel House.
The newest LOVEwork is in heart of the County, the village of LOVingston! Created by the artisans at the HeART of Nelson Artisan Collective, this work of art was inspired by and embodies the natural beauty that surrounds its residents and visitors each day.
